Ms. Angi Brush
(B.A., M.Ed., NBCT)

Angi Brush is a veteran educator, instructional coach, and teacher advocate with more than 25 years of experience supporting secondary teachers and students. A National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts, Angi has devoted her career to strengthening literacy instruction and partnering with educators as a coach, mentor, and collaborator. Her work is grounded in a deep respect for teacher expertise and a belief that meaningful learning grows from strong relationships and reflective practice.

For almost the last decade, Angi has served as an instructional coach, working alongside teachers across content areas to refine instructional practice, analyze student learning, and implement high-impact literacy strategies. She is known for building trust-centered coaching relationships that support inclusive lesson design, intentional use of data, and impactful, enduring instructional practices that honor both student needs and teacher well-being.

Angi also serves as a CEWL Coach for The SCEA Center for Educator Wellness and Learning, providing virtual coaching and mentoring support to South Carolina’s induction teachers. In this role, she works with new educators during the critical early years of the profession, offering guidance, encouragement, and advocacy that center on teacher voice, wellness, and long-term sustainability.

Throughout her career, Angi has brought extensive experience in professional learning, teacher evaluation, and instructional feedback. She has facilitated district and regional professional development, supported teachers through ADEPT and effectiveness processes, and conducted hundreds of classroom observations with a focus on growth rather than compliance. Trained in Capturing Kids’ Hearts and experienced as a Process Champion, Angi emphasizes the importance of positive classroom culture and strong relationships as the foundation for student success.

A committed mentor and leader, Angi has supervised interns, supported beginning teachers, and spent more than a decade as a CERRA Teacher Cadet Instructor. As a certified national trainer for CERRA, she trained Teacher Cadet Instructors across the country, contributing to teacher pipeline efforts in more than 40 states and supporting the growth of the profession nationwide.

Angi holds a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Secondary English from Charleston Southern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education from Augusta State University.

Outside of her professional work, Angi is a passionate advocate for teachers and students, an avid reader, a lifelong learner, and a self-described Lowcountry beach enthusiast. She enjoys reading, relaxing at the beach, tackling DIY projects, attending concerts, and spending time with her family.
